Chapelcross Energy Transition Zone is a large flat open area of a development ready brownfield land, 6.5ha in size, that once formed part of the 1939-45 airfield, RAF Annan. The site is currently undergoing servicing and will be available from 2025 as a single or multiple plots.
Though there are many potential industrial uses, Chapelcross Energy Transition Zone offers particularly strong sector opportunities around green energy transition thanks to being located adjacent to the former Chapelcross Power Station. Added to this are its central location within the UK with an easy access to airports, huge talent pool, South of Scotland’s strong renewable energy outputs and the region’s drive towards Net Zero and innovation.

The Royal Burgh of Annan is located on the north shore of the Solway Firth, the third largest estuary in the UK and a Special Area of Conservation known for its coastal dunes, salt marshes, raised mires and abundance of beaches and bays.
